Bush Vuelve!!!

Millions of Bush fans and die-hard loyalists across North America and around the world are rejoicing over the news, as announced by Gavin Rossdale during Stryker’s show on KROQ, Los Angeles, that Bush is returning to the front line in 2010.

Bush will perform their first live show in eight years as part of the Epicenter weekend in Fontana, September 25-26th, joining Eminem and KISS at the Golden State’s inland empire venue. (Stay tuned for ticket sales info and future tour plans for Bush, TBA.)

Also in the fall, the first new studio album in nine years from Bush will be released on Interscope titled, EVERYTHING ALWAYS NOW. The new album was produced by Bob Rock, who also produced Gavin’s 2008 solo debut, Wanderlust which spawned the crossover hit single, “Love Remains the Same” (and whose credits include seminal work with Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, and more).

It all came full circle for Bush when Gavin previewed “Afterlife,” the first single pick from EVERYTHING ALWAYS NOW, during the KROQ interview. KROQ launched Bush’s career on the Rock charts in late-1994, with their debut hit single, “Everything Zen,” from their 6-times RIAA platinum debut album Sixteen Stone. It was the maiden voyage of the British band that emerged two years earlier from Shepherd’s Bush and went on to more than 16-times platinum cumulative album sales in the U.S. and Canada alone: Razorblade Suitcase (1996), Deconstructed (1997), The Science of Things (1999), and Golden State (2001).

Over the same period, Bush compiled an amazing string of 14 consecutive Top 40 hit singles on the Billboard Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock charts, including ten that hit the Top 5. Four of these became #1 hits that forever define the decade of the ’90s: “Comedown” (1995), “Glycerine” (1995), “Swallowed” (1996), and “The Chemicals Between Us” (1999)

NOFX en Caracas

NOFX en Caracas, Venezuela 23/02/10

El martes 23 de Febrero nos visito la Banda Punk NOFX, teloneada por la banda venezolana Los Mentas.

Estuvo muy buena la organizacion del concierto, las pocas cosas malas fue que las personas (como yo) que compraron las entradas con tarjeta de credito tenian que hacer una cola corta pero que nunca avanzaba, mientras que los que ya tenian su entrada pasaban sin problemas y que el solo habia un sitio donde comprar comida y bebidas y habia tremenda cola! yo esperaba un puesto de tequeños, de pizza, de Shawarmas, de perros calientes y de bebidas pero solo habia un sitio y la cola era una ladilla...

Comenzo a tocar Los Mentas, muy buena, buena eleccion para telonear a NOFX...

Luego salio NOFX Fat Mike, El Hefe, Eric Melvin y Eric Sandin, quienes entre canciones jodian con bromas, burlandose de los Gringos, de los mexicanos, de la gente del publico, entre ellos, Fat Mike llego a decir "smell like Sulfur" tal como lo hizo Chavez en la ONU refiriendose a Bush, jodieron con lo de la cerveza polar, entre 2 canciones tocaron un pedazo de Rock Lobster de The B52's, refiriendose a una pelea que hubo Fat Mike dice "this is not los Angeles, this is not fucking brasil..". Excelente cuando El Hefe tocaba la trompeta!! Los carajos son todos unos Show man en escena, unos Payasos bromistas, muy punk y fuerte su musica, dieron tremendo espectaculo! Al final no tocaron una de las mejores canciones de ellos "Dont call me white" y eso que todo el publico la pedia, hubiera sido perfecto (para mi) que hubieran tocado Don't call me white y Lori Meyers..... Tremendo comienzo de año para mi, luego de un mes de Enero aburrido y con muchas malas noticias en mi pais (aumento del Dolar, escases de agua, recortes de luz, marchas, calor, delincuencia, full trabajo etc etc etc).. y ahora preparandome para los proximos Conciertos! Metallica, Gun´s & Roses, SNFU, quizas Placebo.....

Gracias al Itunes ahora puedo saber que fue lo que oi mas este año, antes ni idea...

Dinosaur Pile Up, los vi en Vivo en Frankfurt teloneando a Pixies, ni siquiera habia leido sobre ellos, y lo que vi me gusto muchisimo, tanto que desde Octubre los puse tanto que entraron en la lista.. Los Campesinos! los vi en el 2009 y me gusto tanto que los oi mucho, todavia los sigo oyendo, Amy Winehouse esta en mi listado porque en Londres en todo lugar a donde tu entrabas se oia alguna cancion de ella, Rehab, You Know im not Good o Back in black y me quedo el gustico a su musica, Racine.. Wendy James ex Transvision Vamp con su nueva banda pense que este año la cancion que mas escucharia seria Essex Dog seguramente la oi mas que otra pero el ipod la puso de 3er lugar... The martinis tiene buenas canciones los sigo oyendo desde el 2006, Black Francis sigue haciendo buena musica pronto sacara otro disco, y The Horrors, desde el año 2008 los vengo oyendo, y en el 2009 los vi en Vivo.. demasiado bueno.. Wind Up de Foo Figthers, este es uno de los mejores discos y no se porque esta cancion la escuchaba y la repetia mucho ese año, al Igual que A Forest de the Cure...

Si sigo buscando consigo Pixies, Nirvana, The Horrors, Terrorvision, The Amps, The Breeders, Foo Fighters, Bush, Placebo, Radiohead, etc....

Esperemos a Enero del 2011 a ver que fue lo que mas oi..
